Dean Avonn Nova is a seasoned academic leader and advocate for computational thinking, currently serving as a member of the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) for IT Education at the Philippine Commission on Higher Education. He holds the position of Dean at the College of Computing and Information Technologies at National University-Manila, where he has been instrumental since January 2023.

With a robust background in educational management and digital transformation, Dean Avonn has held significant roles such as Dean of Academic Services at Thames International Business School and College Dean at CIIT College of Arts and Technology Inc. His leadership extends across various educational institutions, including Manila Central University, where he served as Dean of the College of Computer Studies for more than five years.

Dean Avonn Nova's academic journey is marked by his pursuit of advanced degrees: he is currently pursuing a Doctor's Degree in Information Technology with a focus on E-Governance at National University. He previously earned units towards a PhD in Educational Management from Manila Central University and holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Technological University of the Philippines. Dean Avonn's academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, earned with honors (Cum Laude) from Cavite State University.
